Community life is central to the Church, and so to the monastic tradition. St. Benedict talks of the cenobitic life, the traditional word for monastery being cenobium, as it truly describes the lifestyle of those living in the Community of Jeevan Jyoti Monastery. At present we have 10 Monks who are solemnly professed, out of which 10 are in clerical state, 3 Scholastics, 2 Postulants, and 3 Aspirants in the Community. The Unity in Diversity is the hallmark of our Priory as we all come from diverse cultures, ethnicity and languages as the identity of various states in India.
