In the past, monks rendered their spiritual services to the people around 7 Mission Stations which have been now handed over to the Diocese and the diocesan Priests are taking care of them. Our Monastic Chapel in Shivpuri town serves as the Parish Church for catholic Christian community of Shivpuri town. We have about 70 families under our care and a monk is appointed as the Parish Priest to cater to spiritual needs of the people. The people come to the church services every Sunday and other special occasions and we take care of all their spiritual needs including Catechism and Youth animation, and Pastoral care. Jeevan Jyoti Monastery stands with its special reputation in the catholic Diocese of Gwalior and in surrounding dioceses, a spiritual powerhouse for those who seek the light and worth (word) of Christ. We also help with giving retreats and conferences to the seminarians and nuns in the vicinity. As and when needed we prepare young scholastics, on requests by Local Ordinaries-with immediate spiritual preparations for their ordination to the Sacred Orders. We also envisage to start a centre for spiritual retreats and silent prayer for different groups in a small plot of land we have in Nilgiri District-Ooty of Tamil Nadu state in South India
